This years Handelsdagsskola will take place between Monday the 8th and Wednesday the 10th of February. During these three days you will be given the chance to learn all about how to write a good CV, complete a successful interview and how to mingle best.

The purpose of Handelsdagsskolan is to prepare students for the upcoming fair. With a good CV, the right mingling-technique and shined shoes you increase your chances of leaving Handelsdagarna with many newly-formed bonds.

Lectures will continue to be held during Handeldagarna on February 11th and 12th. Last year lecturers such as Christina Stenbeck from the Kinnevik group visited Handelsdagarna. Stenbecks lecture on her career choices was a moment not to miss! This year more big names from the Swedish business world will speak at Handelsdagarna. Make sure not to miss the lectures at Handelsdagarna 2010!

Magdalena Ribbing
Magdalena Ribbing is a Swedish author, journalist, lecturer and expert in good manners. She writes about manners and etiquette for Dagens Nyheter and she has published many books on the subject. Magdalena Ribbing is generally considered as one of Sweden’s most well-known authorities in questions of manners and etiquette and is a frequent guest in television and radio programs.
During Handelsdagarna, she will talk about modern etiquette, manners, style and about the backgrounds to the rules and preconceptions that flourish today.

“Mingel-workshop”
Katarina Widoff
Katarina Widoff from Kommunikationsfabriken is a lecturer and an author in networking, mingling and feeling great. With humour, self-distance and networking theory, she will provide tips on how to become better at creating personal contact networks, managing different mingling styles and such trivial things as how to remember names and conduct meaningful small talk.
After the workshop, Katarina will stay behind, and you will find her appreciated book “Bli en skicklig nätverkare – mingla dig till framgång” for sale.

Welcome to a lecture about the difference between being good and becoming the best with Fredric Bohm. Fredric Bohm, psychologist, author and popular speaker gives an inspiring insight into the mechanisms that govern our behaviour. At the seminar, you get examples and practical tips on what you can do to improve your performance and rise above the crowd.
The lecture will also focus on the secrets about charisma, a quality that we often believe is inherited and not learned. Come and learn the behaviors and techniques so you will be able to develop and train your charisma.

Mock Interview
Anna Larsson from KPMG
Sooner or later, we all find ourselves in an interview situation. What is important to think about and what do recruiters really look for? Come and listen to Anna Larsson from KPMG hold a mock interview with an SSE student. After the interview, a panel of recruitment specialists will give feedback on the interview and provide the audience with valuable tips for future interviews.
Learn how to handle tricky questions and pushy recruiters. Based on what criteria will they make their judgements and how should you act to convince them that you are the right person for the job? You will get valuable tips on how to make it through the interviews to your dream job and a great opportunity to get your questions answered by the panel.

“Så förhindrar vi framtida finanskriser”
Urban Bäckström
Urban Bäckström has been the CEO of Svenskt Näringsliv since 2005 and is currently the Vice President of Nasdaq OMX. Urban Bäckström was CEO of Skandia Liv between 2003 - 2005, governor of Sveriges Riksbank between 1994 and 2002 and undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance between 1991 - 1993. During Handelsdagarna, Urban Bäckström will give his view on how we can prevent future financial crises. The macroeconomic policy has been focused on three factors: inflation targets, an independent central bank and healthy finances. This was supposed to generate a stable economic development – yet suddenly we found ourselves in a serious financial
crisis with a GDP drop of five per cent in a single year. What went wrong and what can we do to keep it from reoccurring?

Robert Bergqvist
Robert Bergqvist is the SEB Group’s Chief Economist and is responsible for managing the SEB Research team. He has been employed by SEB since 1997. Prior to SEB, Bergqvist spent nine years at Sveriges Riksbank. Bergqvist’s initial objective at the Riksbank was to prepare basis for monetary and exchange rate policy decisions and speeches for the Governor of the Riksbank. In
the mid-1990’s, Bergqvist was responsible for Sweden’s balance of payment analyses.
Bergqvist’s work for the Riksbank also involved membership of several international
central bank working committees.

Jan Åke Jonsson
Jan Åke Jonsson has been the CEO of Saab Automobile since 2005. He joined Saab-Scania AB in 1973 and has held many different positions within Saab during his long stay.
During Handelsdagarna, Jan Åke Jonsson will give his view on Saab’s future prospects and way forward. Jan Åke Jonsson has a degree in Business Administration/Information Systems from Uppsala University/Linköping Technical School.

Börje Ekholm
Börje Ekholm is President and CEO of Investor AB since 2005. He joined Investor AB in 1992 and was previously with McKinsey & Co Inc. Börje Ekholm sits on several boards, including Chalmersinvest, Ericsson, Husqvarna and Scania. He has an MBA from INSEAD and Master
of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). Börje Ekholm spent almost ten years prior to taking the CEO position heading up Investor’s Private Equity business, based in New York. Börje Ekholm was born in 1963 and is a U.S. citizen. Börje Ekholm is married, has four kids, is a Yankees-fan and is passionate about entrepreneurship and investing.
